Just got back from Blackout 2 Listening Party

Method Man & Redman killed it. No bias, this album is an instant classic.

Standout tracks are A-YO feat. Saukrates and City Lights feat. Bun B

You better cop that on 5/19/09!

Denver, CO or Charlotte, NC?

I’ve decided on impulse to start visiting random cities throughout the U.S. before I eventually jump ship back to London. I could be making a terrible mistake, but I’d like to know what life is like outside of the Prada Peninsula. I’m going wherever’s cheap….

Can anyone offer any insight on the two options?

Down By The Hipster

“But such an amount of play-acting and pose!” I hear someone complain, referring to the Village with contemptuous irritation. “They pretend to be seeking after truth and liberty of thought, and that sort of thing, and yet they are steeped in artificiality.”

Anna Alice Chaplin, Greenwich Village, 1917

On Greenwich Village:

“I know not whether it is owing to the tenderness of early association, but this portion of New York appears to many persons the most delectable. It has a kind of established repose which is not of frequent occurrence in other quarters of the long, shrill city; it has a riper, richer, more honourable look than any of the upper ramifications of the great longitudinal thoroughfare—the look of having had something of a social history.”

Henry James, Washington Square, 1880
